Un-dampened Spirits

The Guild Mystery Play of Saturday 28th April threatened to be a complete washout with heavy, grey skies and driving rain setting the stage in the courtyard garden outside The Adam and Eve pub in Norwich. 

 


Undeterred, the decidedly soggy players assembled regardless – an all new cast of First Year apprentices – and gave a nuanced and touching performance of The Story of St George and the Dragon to the assembled, modest audience of brave supporters clutching diluted pints of beer. 

 

 

In preparation for the notoriously capricious weather of the week of St. George’s Day, Davina the dragon had been treated with several coats of yacht varnish and remains in mint condition for what is set to be a long career in The Guild.
